Manage sessions

New!    Admins use Active User Sessions to monitor and manage currently signed-in users across all Prophix One applications. If required, an admin can end a session by forcing a signout.

Open Active Sessions

  • In the left-hand panel, select User Administration > User Management > Active Sessions.

    Active User Sessions appears:

Monitor active sessions

Active User Sessions lists the following:

  • All users currently signed in to Prophix One

  • The date and time the user logged into a session

  • How long a session has run

  • The application(s) running in a session

You can sort any of the information columns in the list, and filter the User and Open Applications columns

Note:  You may see multiple lines for a single user; this occurs when a user has more than one session running, as when running applications in multiple browsers.

Force signout

You can end user sessions using the Force Signout option.

Also we should add a note when an admin tries to end session - that it can take sometime before the user is actually logged out. Our tokens are 5min in length - we only confirm session after token has expired

Note:  A forced signout is not instantaneous; it takes approximately five minutes until the user is signed out.

Force a single session to end

  1. At the end of the row, click the Force Signout button:

  2. In the warning dialog, confirm your decision.

Note:  To prevent you from accidentally signing out yourself, in your sessions Force Signout is always disabled.

Force a selection of sessions to end

  1. To indicate the sessions you want, select the check box in each one's the row.

The Force Signout Selected button is enabled:

  2. Click Force Signout Selected.

  3. In the warning dialog, confirm your decision.

Create a report

You can run a variety of audit reports on user activity.

Reports are downloaded as Excel spreadsheets.

To create a report:

  1. At the bottom of the screen, click Generate Report.

    The Generate Report dialog opens.

  2. From Choose report, select a report.

Tip:  These are the same audit reports found in User Management.

  3. Use Start date and End date to specify a date range for the data.

  4. Click Download.
